How Forager works.

A field tech opens Forager and taps Snapshot. In under a second, the app captures ambient Wi-Fi probe requests, BLE advertising packets, GPS coordinates, barometer reading, and magnetometer heading — no proprietary tags required. The snapshot is fingerprinted against known asset signatures immediately.
Forager's RF matching engine scores the snapshot against the asset database. High-confidence matches surface as a one-tap confirmation — the tech simply approves. If the asset has a Beacon attached, any nearby Forager device has already been passively logging its BLE signal, narrowing the probable location before the tech even opens the app. If it's a smart device running the Forager Agent, it may have already checked itself in.
Confirmed locations are written to the Forager Cloud backend with a full audit trail — who confirmed, when, what signal evidence supported the match. Records sync in real time when connected, or queue silently for retry when offline. Admins review fleet health, dwell anomalies, and compliance status from the Management Portal.
